The only time you would get a false negative is if you test too early. The early response tests are more sensitive and therefore the best! It sounds like you are in the middle of your cycle, so it seems like you wont be able to accurately test for another 2 weeks. To be sure of an accurate one, you have to test during the time of your expected period, and the best time is a week AFTER your expected period…But usually it will show up any time during when it’s due, especially if it’s an early one.
