Could fructose be respired more quickly than glucose in yeast doing anaerobic respiration?

0

The first step of Respiration, i.e. Glycolysis is same for both aerobic and anaerobic respiration. The first few steps of Glycolysis are Glucose:- Glucose-6-phosphate:- Fructose-6-phosphate. Alternative pathway(if Fructose is available) Fructose:- Fructose-6-phosphate. Glucose is more readily available in an organism than Fructose. But as this processes are carried out in a very short time by enzymes, absence of a single step will not make much a difference.
