Could falling debris from fireworks be hazardous near a petrol filling station?

Fireworks debris are hazardous everywhere. And don’t even get me started on air pollution caused by them. However, even with the increasing numbers of fireworks displays in the world, there has not been a major disaster at a gas station, that I know of. In my opinion, no amount of changing lightbulbs or turning off air conditioners is ever going to make up for the major pollution of fireworks displays.
