Could Dr. Marty Makary Be The Next Surgeon General?

A regular on the media circuit, Dr. Martin Makary is an active researcher, surgeon and the Mark Ravitch Chair of General Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and School of Public Health. From his bio on the JH Medicine website: Dr. Makary serves in leadership roles for the United Nations World Health Organization and the International Union of Risk Management. He is the author of several books on public health and surgery, patient safety, quality of care, and health policy. But our sources aren’t alone.
