Could CA Budget cuts really hurt California Community Colleges?
A local college’s board of directors member told me yesterday that the State of California cut 58% of his institution’s funding. The college, located in the San Francisco Bay area, is seeing an increased enrollment, but they can’t fund the classes needed for all of the students. He also told me that another local college recently applied for a bank loan in order to pay salaries, because of the drastic reduction in their funding. Good luck to you.
