Could asthma affect a persons thinking?
Yes … Very much so Asthma can affect almost all of these. When someone has Asthma it is difficult to breath properly and that can keep them from engaging in much physical activity. It also predisposes them to other upper respiratory illnesses and immune problems. They can be so affected that the medications they take can impair their thinking and cognitive skills. Emotionally they can become afraid to do the things their peers can do easily and can feel negative about themselves. This can keep them from many social interactions in an effort to not seem different or to keep others from knowing about their problem. Hope this helps jump start your thinking.
