Could anyone tell me what are (independent)pharmacies in London Ontario-Canada?

An independent pharmacy is one that is not part of a larger corporation. It’s not a franchise. It’s not part of a chain. The owner of the pharmacy owns it outright, rather than being a subsidiary of a larger chain of pharmacies. Obviously, if the pharmacy is within a chain store, or it has a familiar name (Shoppers Drug Mart, PharmaPlus, IDA, etc.), it’s not an ‘independent’ pharmacy. The plus side of independent pharmacies is, they have more leeway in their policies. Chain pharmacies have policies set by the corporate office. Fees and prices could be higher or lower for either group. An independent pharmacy might be free to have an adjustable dispensing fee, for example, while a large chain pharmacy has economies of scale in its favour.
