UWM maintains a site with many good suggestions (including the aforementioned County Clare, which is a delight and just a few blocks away from where the chancellor and his family live–so it must be a safe neighborhood!): UW-Milwaukee: UWM Area Hotels / Guest Housing There are, unfortunately, no hotels within easy walking distance of the campus.
