Could anyone estimate how long to drive from Marseilles to Calias via Monaco, Strasburg, & Luxemburg, without?
It would be extremely tiring and dangerous to attempt this within twenty four hours even if you did not stop to take photographs. Marseille direct to Calais is already a real challenge without the add-ons since they are towns at opposite ends of France. You can check the shortest distance and best routes on Michelin though it will be motorway all the way and therefore will cost you a lot in péages as French motorways are not free. Even though you would not be able to cover this itinerary in daylight. The additional difficulty is that you will have to spend far more than an hour just getting in or around those towns. In particular it takes a long time just to reach the centre of Luxembourg and Strasbourg. Besides being very large towns in their own right, they are the headquarters of the EU and extremely busy. There are one way systems and narrow streets to negotiate, and for someone who is unfamiliar with the place driving takes a lot of concentration and skill. Parking, unless you are
