A LET call is often mistaken for a NET call, but actually they are unrelated. a) A LET is a call than can be made at any time during play, so from as soon the server tosses the ball to serve, until the point is made. When a LET call is made, the point will be replayed. b) A NET call can only be made when serving, when the ball touches the net (sometimes even when the serve goes in the net, although the NET call is in that case superfluous). So the serve can go NET>out or NET>in. And in the case of NET>IN, it’s a LET (because the serve will be replayed).
