Could a videotape count as training and meet OSHA regulations?
Although videotape can be used for a portion of employee training, no tape can completely and accurately cover all of the specific aspects and differences encountered in each workplace. OSHA requires that a person be available to address practice specifics and answer employee questions and that “The person conducting the training shall be knowledgeable in the subject matter…”(1). According to the OSHA regulation, there must be an opportunity for interactive questions and answers with the trainer.
