Could a professional or amateur hypnotist compel someone to commit suicide while under their hypnotic spell?
Apparently hypnosis can’t make you do something you don’t want to. But i guess if someone was depressed and wanted to commit suicide, then they might be able to under hypnosis. I think when people are under hypnosis, they need a cue word, or noise to awaken them. I’m not sure if the suggestion of committing suicide would work. There has been a case of a person being charged with murder claimed to be under hypnosis and was acquitted. The hypnotist then got charged.
