COULD a new romance be in the air for Wayne Carey and model Kellie Johns?
The two say they’re “friends”, but Carey tried hard this week to impress Johns at the Rhythms for Research breast cancer charity event at Chapel St’s Red Bennies. Witnesses said the body language between the two was extremely positive. Johns was full of praise for the recent inductee to the AFL Hall of Fame. “Wayne went beyond the call of duty with a breast cancer charity very close to my heart,” Johns said. “Not only did he auction himself for a dinner with 10 beautiful gay ladies at Cafe Latte, he also donated a super box for 10 at Etihad Stadium to a football game of choice and purchased a signed Madonna print at the auction.” If the whispers around town are true, it would be the former North Melbourne champion’s first relationship since his tumultuous break-up with Kate Neilson last year.
