Could a flea collar increase aggression in cats?
I doubt it but there is a simply way to test it – take Blaze’s collar off and see if her temperament returns to normal over the next few days. Actually – take the collars off of both of them. Don’t use flea collars, there have been many reports of problems like allergic reactions, sores, etc. from their use and they do not work as well as the manufacturers want you to believe and no where near as well as the flea treatments you can get from vets. The best way to handle fleas is with a Frontline, Advantage, or Revolution you get form a vet. Don’t use the flea treatments you can get from other stores, the FDA is investigation those products because of a large number of injuries and deaths associated with their use. If you think they had a fight, from the blood you found, check both of them for wounds that may need to be treated.
