Your proforma is only as good as the cost data you use. The best place to get it is from local builders and contractors. They’re in tune with what things cost in your neck of the woods. Another place to get cost data is from the company “RS Means” (www.meanscostworks.com), whose sole mission is to publish cost data for construction. However, using their data is expensive and can be cumbersome and confusing unless you’re an expert in that field.
