I’m having trouble uploading files to my wiki, running MediaWiki 1.5rc4. Like a few other people, I’m getting the “File is corrupt or has an incorrect extension” error that a few others have gotten, but no one has a solution. The workaround posted further up the page works, but I’m also getting the problem of images not displaying because their mimetype is registered as text/plain. I’ve gone through the PHP files as best I can (Image.php, SpecialUpload.php, DefaultSettings.php) and my Apache and PHP configs, but I can’t find anything glaringly obvious. I’ve reinstalled the wiki (using the same database), so I don’t think it’s due to anything I’ve changed in any of the config files. I have a couple of questions: How can I check that MIME verification is working on the server, independently of the wiki? What other routes of asking for help are there apart from these Talk pages?
