If you have no fish in the system, then you have no need to be concerned, as the invertebrates don’t suit the protozoan’s lifestyle. >>If you do have fish, then as far as cleaners go, Lysmata amboinensis and L. grabhami (the Eel or Skunk Cleaner Shrimp) are the most effective and reliable for these duties. However, they’ll also need to be directly fed (especially in systems with small fishes only).
