Cool idea for a software program; however, does it really eliminate the need for typing?
A. The individual that created this program is a dentist. He found that typing clinical notes in his office was way too time consuming. He also despised staying after work to put notes into a computer, and to be honest hes not the best typist. Once he created this program, and started using it in his own practice, he virtually eliminated typing. The way he did this was by creating his own buttons for each clinical situation as it presented itself. As patients would come into his office presenting new clinical situations for which he had not created a button on the toolbar, he would simply make a note of it, and later add that button to the toolbar. After doing this for a while, he soon found that 99% of the problems patients presented with already had a button on the toolbar. Today he no longer types his clinical notes.
