Cool Blue Gel contains Menthol and Witch Hazel. Where do they come from?
A – Menthol is derived from peppermint. It is used in analgesic creams and lotions to help increase blood circulation to the area and produce a cooling sensation. This feeling is soothing and lasts for several hours. Witch Hazel was used by native Americans to treat a variety of wounds, insect bites and skin ulcers. Tannins are the main active component of witch hazel, giving it a strong astringent effect. It has also been known to strengthen veins and to be anti-inflammatory.
