Consultative Draft Local Plan – What stage is it at?

The Local Plan is currently at the Consultative Draft stage. Observations on the Consultative Draft Plan will be taken into consideration in drawing up the Finalised Local Plan. This is the version of the Plan that is placed ‘on deposit’ for the receipt of formal objections. A public local inquiry into these objections has to be held by an independent reporter from the Scottish Executive Reporters Unit. Following the public local inquiry and the reporter’s findings, the Council is then in a position to adopt the Plan.
