I know from experience that static shocks are generally more severe in the winter. When you build up a static charge, it normally “leaks off” via the moisture in the air. During winter, the air is colder and therefore drier. There is less moisture to leak off charge, so more charge accumulates on you and you get zapped more often. I hope that helps. Good luck!
