Computer Geeks, Help! Whats the best way to EMAIL A VIDEO CLIP?
The best way is to embed a video player on a web page, upload the files to the page, set up a menu to play the files, and email a link to the page. You can’t be guaranteed that everyone getting your email has a player that will play the format, regardless of which format you choose. You can’t compress files so that they play, you can compress them so that they self-extract. Or you can simply use a compressed format. The only way to have an image in an email is to know which email client it’s going to be viewed in. (Email is a text medium – anything more is up to the person writing the particular client.) You make the videos look sharp by working on the videos – and NOT using a compressed format (video compression sacrifices sharpness.) You’re asking for a round top on the square bottom of a non-existent box. You have to give up some of what you want to get other things you want. Some of the things you want contradict others.
