Thanks for the reply. That really sounds too simple. One 65w 12000k goes down, the algae (brown and green) dies one day later, the water clouds. A partial water change does not remove the cloudiness. New bulbs have been ordered to see, but 2 65w actinics and one 65w 12000k instead of two to make this big a change just seems highly unlikely.
