The Physician Information Technology Office (PITO) Steering Committee will be created as a bilateral committee. The existing Joint Steering Committee on Rural Issues will continue in its current configuration. Q: How will the joint committees make decisions? A: The joint committees will make consensus decisions. These decisions will be made by resolution of the committee that is passed by at least a majority of the members of the committee after the committee has gone through a reasonable process to reach unanimous approval.
