Collection agency calling place of employment?

0

I was recently employed at a collection agency. We are allowed by law to call the place of employment that the debtor put down on the initial contract. (the agreement that you signed to get the services that you requested credit card, loan ect.) The only thing that we were not allowed to do was tell the third party, which would be anybody that answered the phone other than you or someone that you stated we were allowed to discuss this matter with, was that we were with a collection agency and that you in fact owed money. The only thing that we were basically allowed to say was were you available, are you in fact employed there and what would be the best time to reach you. Oh and we were allowed to ask for another number to contact you on.
