Mr Gilchrist is on record as having said that he was effectively pushed – apparently he had not received a letter from Carlton stating that his services were no longer required. He told Planet Crossroads forum member Natalie King that he never ‘quit’, it was all down to Yvon Grace. Natalie wrote to him in August 2002. At that point he said he hadn’t heard anything!
