Code which calls foreign functions seems to run more slowly on Windows 2000 machines. Why?
A 2.6-6) Scheduling of threads in Windows 2000 is done differently in Windows 2000 than on other Windows operating systems. Unfortunately, the change has degraded the performance of Allegro CL when running foreign code. See item 4.4-4 where this matter is addressed.
