Click here to read Part II – “Easy for younot so easy for me!” In the previous parts of this article we discussed what, in our opinion, it takes to make a well thought out easy to use remote configuration. There are always a few other things we add to make life a bit easier. Since our buddy Rusty is a peanut butter and jelly junkie we always include a Clean Screen on the remote. This is very simple but is surprisingly left out of most configurations. A Clean Screen is simply a page on the remote that doesnt include any commands. It should be easily accessible so that you can wipe the fingerprints (and whatever else Rusty leaves behind) from the remote without turning on the system or disrupting what you might be watching at the time.
