Cleaning a very dirty toilet.?

I certainly wouldn’t stick my hands down the toilet like one of your answerers suggests – I’d rather move house than do that. The best thing is to get thick bleach (Domestos is good) and coat the sides and bottom of the toilet with it and leave overnight. You can then see what’s left and use something which dissolves the calcium. Brown vinegar usually works, but otherwise you can buy purpose made liquids that do this from the hardware store. They normally contain bleach as well.
