Classical Music: Which famous composer was described as “six-foot-six of Russian gloom”?
Serge Rachmaninoff is the gentleman described as “Six foot six of Russian gloom”. It’s my opinion that his “Russian gloom” was part of what drove him to write such beautiful things, as it seems to be with many Russian artists.
