Class X5 >> How many X5s were created at Manticore?
No one really knows. In the Pilot, it was said that there were “a couple dozen” X5s created, but later evidence suggests there were far more. There were more X5s than those in Zack’s group, as we have seen in episodes such as Designate This. Some were raised in Gillette, Wyoming, and others were likely raised in the second Manticore facility outside Seattle and possibly even in other facilities around the country or the world. There were at least twenty-two in the Gillette group (the 12 ’09 escapees, at least 7 recaptured the night of the escape, at least one stayed behind, and at least three dead prior to the escape). This is all the information available. How do you spell the Class designation (X-5, X5, X/5, etc.)? X5 is spelled X5. Therefore, Max’s designation is spelled X5-452 (As seen in “Designate This”). However, X-2s and X-9s seem to have a different identification system for a currently unknown reason. The only X-2 ever seen was identified as X-2/0045D (As seen in “Pollo Loco”
