There’s still time to register for the 2009 CEO and Trustee Patient Safety Summit. The format of the summit will be one of the most engaging to date. Richard Umbdenstock, President and CEO of the American Hospital Association, will lead trustees and CEOs in an interactive discussion about resolving the realities of the current economic turmoil with the board’s on-going role in patient safety. Mr. Umbdenstock is a national expert on hospital boards. His past experience and leadership within Washington state as an executive of the Providence system will make the content particularly relevant. The summit provides an excellent opportunity for hospital boards to gain practical tools to effectively impact patient safety. The same program will be presented both days to allow hospitals to send as many board members and staff as they wish. To register go to www.wsha.org/page.cfm?ID=124. Register early. For additional information or copies of the brochure, contact Carol Wagner at (206) 577-1831.
