If you believe that you will not be able sign the affidavit (your citation) electing the traffic school option before your payment due date, you still might be able to elect to attend traffic school. In some instances, certain clerks of the circuit court will permit you to attend traffic school after your payment due date if you pay an additional fine and comply with other requirements imposed by the clerk’s office. In order to determine if you are eligible for such an extension, please use the list found at the bottom of this FAQ to locate the appropriate clerk’s office and call them for further information.
