4 Aug 05: You’ll find most Cretan museums described here. In Sfakia there is to my knowledge only 1 museum: The WW II museum in Askyfou. Never go to Gavdos at the end of your holidays, because if the weather is not good (windy), there indeed will be no ferry back. Dirk Aartsen asked: We will arrive on sunday 17 juli in the afternoon at heraklion. Than we have a car to drive to Sfakia. We want to go to Gavdos at the same day, is it possible to take a water taxi/small boat round 17 or 18 hour?? Because we know there is no ferry in the afternoon on sunday. 4 Aug 05: There is no small boat or water taxi available to Gavdos: too far and too dangerous.
