churches were ALWAYS the tallest buildings (back when churches were being built) so in any storm they were hit, so they fitted em with lightening conductors… coz when the steeple exploded… its cost a lot more to fix up, than a few hundred quids worth of copper wire… and religion doesnt come into it…
