Christians only: Are we seeing a prophecy being fulfilled?
Maybe, but it is incredibly unlikely. The world has suffered far worse economic troubles than what we are currently going through. The Athenian Empire collapsed because of economic troubles. The Fall of Rome, for example, was brought about by economic troubles. The Middle Ages persisted because of economic troubles. The Great Depression happened because of economic troubles. World War II was started because of economic troubles. The current economic troubles were predicted by economists before the 2000 U.S. Presidential election. So since this isn’t unexpected and the world has had worse, why should we think that prophecy is just now being fulfilled?
