Christians, is being disobedient to parents worthy of death?
If by “children” you mean little kids the answer is “no”. If by children you mean young men who get drunk, disrespect and disobey their parents, over and over again despite their pleading with him and warning him of the consequences… …well, if you are living under a Jewish theocracy then I guess so. Deuteronomy 21:18 “If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have chastened him, will not heed them, 19 then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, to the gate of his city.
I guess that depends on what that disobedience leads to. When a person decides to be the cause of mass murdering there are countries that punishes this with death sentences. It still makes me think, do people continue on giving them death sentence to stop them from doing more crime or do you allow one to be free or to live in a prison maybe to change their wrong doings, and give them a new perspective in life. But maybe I still believe that NO ONE is ever granted the permission to end ones life because of his/her sins. God has the power to do that.
The commandments are in the old testaments. Since then a man called Jesus (son of God ) was born then died on the cross then was risen. This was done for a reason- to wash away sin and with his love God is able to use grace and wash away our sins. For God so loved te world that he gave his only begotten son and whoever believeth in him will have ever lasting life. John 3 16. What you are talking about is a vengeful God. This is not the God in my Bible. Sorry but i do not tink this is wbat Jesus or God have in mind. Yes obedience to parents in important but there are times when disobedience is both necessary and just. IE in cases of abuse of any kind, manipulation, neglect. Actually i am having trouble really getting to the gist of your understanding of Christianity at all.
