Many Christians do not believe HIV comes from sin; that is, homosexual (or heterosexual) fornication. Computer viruses come from not having up to date anti-virus software.

Porn sites give you viruses, porn is a sin, therefor computer viruses are caused by sin, yes.

Without exception (as far as I know), computer viruses are indeed caused by sin. The Bible is very clear about the need to obey the law – which does not allow for the creation or dissemination of computer viruses. Also, computer viruses in general are extremely similar to the crime of vandalism. I don’t think any rational person would suggest that it is morally defensible to create and disseminate computer viruses.
