Christian wedding reception music…am I stuck with Oldies?
Classic rock is about as far from Christian as you can get. Even a large number of Christians back in the day were offended when oldies music first was released because it was “the devil’s music”. Country has alot of appropriate music for what you’re looking for, if you aren’t opposed to it. Even some Contemporary Christian music has a danceable beat to it. You’re looking for two different things there: something with a good message and something guests can dance to. Not that there isn’t “good” music out there that is danceable but you are really limiting yourself if you’re going to be analyzing the lyrics of each and every song. Talk to your dj and see what they suggest since they have been doing this type of thing for years and are the pros.
