Choosing a dog; Which dog is calmer around the house, the Doberman Pinscher or the German Shepherd?

I’ve always known German Shepherds to be the calmer of the two, but most of it comes down to how the dog is trained. German Shepherds also tend to be rather patient with kids and make excellent guard dogs at the same time. Whatever you do, avoid the commonly suggested Labrodor. THEY CHEW EVERYTHING!
