Careful with statistics. China is formidable but your numbers may not be useful. China has more than three times the population of the USA. They also work for lower wages and have lower standards of living due to the sheer numbers of expendable laborers and their global market policies. 2 trillion may be only a small fragment of the U.S. spending pie. I will bet you that most U.S. citizens make far more than the average Chinese citizen and have more square footage in their homes than the average Chinese citizen. We are not necessarily worse off then them. Yes, we wasted a lot of money on the Iraq war. What is this about Israel? They had nothing to do with Iraq.
