Child abandonment laws in PA?

I would urge you to go to the Child Support Enforcement Agency and initiate a paternity action. They will order a DNA test and establish paternity now. They will also issue a child support order. You should not take on the burden of being the sole supporter of this child. Once paternity has been established, if you fnid someone who loves you and your baby, his parental rights can be terminated if someone agrees to assume those rights (i.e. adoption). If the biological father fails to support or to se the child for 1 year, that is generally considered abandonment and then you can seek to have his rights revoked in favor of someone else assuming those rights. You can’t revoke rights without first establishing paternity, and not without someone to assume those rights. Good luck!
