Cheating Spouses: Why Do They Cheat?
Many faithful husbands and wives have been the victims of extramarital affairs. This level of infidelity is significant, and is one of many reasons why half of today’s marriages end in divorce. Typically, society takes the side of the “victim” of the cheating spouse, while pointing fingers at the cheater. It can be beneficial, however, to understand why a husband or wife would choose to cheat on his or her spouse. Equipped with this knowledge, many people may be able to better understand the reasoning of their spouse, and, while they still may be unable to save their marriage, at least the two might come to an understanding, or feel less bitter about the whole ordeal. Traditional reasoning gives many explanations for why a spouse might engage in an affair. Typical reasons include the cheater feeling a lack of passion in his or her marriage, meeting and falling in love with somebody who can offer them something missing from the marriage, feeling alone when the partner is busy with work
