CDfender was developed during six years of research and development using facilities in the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States and with input from such companies as Philips Electronics and E.M.I. Q.Has CDfender been tested?
A.Yes. Before going into production, CDfender was tested internally at OptiDisc, Inc. and by Chemsultants, an independent lab in Cleveland, Ohio. Chemsultants set up a unique test protocol for CDfender involving stability testing at high/low temperatures and high humidity. CDfender also undergoes strict quality control (computer-controlled and manual) during production to monitor such details as print quality and size of cut. Finally, CDfender is tested on an Audio Developments test machine against the Philips standard for CDs.
