• Make sure that the printer & computer are both turned on. • Make sure that the printer is plugged into the printer port. • With CCC up on screen point to File & QUIT. • Point to File & QUIT again. • Highlight teachers name & click on START. • Enter password and press RETURN. • Point to SPECIAL & down to GO TO FINDER. • Highlight Apple & down to CHOOSER. • Click on DJ 800 Series icon (without wires). • Click on printer icon to the right. • APPLE TALK at bottom right should be INACTIVE. • Click on SETUP to verify that the box indicates DeskJet 870C (If it doesn’t, move it to DeskJet 870C). • Click OK, then put CHOOSER away. • Go to SPECIAL & RESTART. • The printer should now be ready to print.
