Cant you do something to treat the fuels that is less risky?
A. There is no risk free option, and were doing everything we can to minimize risk to the community. In fact, we declared the fire escaped and ordered additional resources while the fire remained within the overall burn area in order to ensure community protection. If this area were to burn during the heat of the summer or fall, the fire would burn hotter and faster, and the consequences likely would be much different.
