Can the cameras hurt their neck?
Most Cameraflyers use the latest of the small light weight digital camcorders to lessen the forces that can pull your head forward when you deploy your canopy. Learning how to adjust your body position in freefall at this moment, to be level, but “head high,” also reduces these forces. If not done properly, it can cause injury, but for most Cameraflyers on the pro tour, their neck muscles have developed so as to be significantly stronger than the average person. Some are even starting to look like a ‘Cardassian’ from Star Trek.
