Can setup WPA with PowerBook G4 15″ built-in wireless card?

0

Hi, My new roommate wants to connect to my wireless router with his old Powerbook G4 15″ aluminum notebook. When trying to help him configure the wireless card, I noticed the only wireless security protocol available is WEP. Is there any way to update the WLAN card drivers to support the protocol required on my router – WPA? If not, I imagine he can always go buy a new NIC that will support WPA, and maybe even get a bit better throughput as well (not sure of the H/W specs on his existing NIC but I’d imagine it may be 802.11b. I’m not a Mac guy at all, so any help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance…
