Can’t I save money by buying textbooks online?

• Not consistently and we can save you time, money, and offer you a location for return or exchanges if needed right here in Auburn. • Auburn University turns in around 2,400 separate textbooks for use each semester. Around 50% of those are “custom” in some way, i.e. not just a textbook off the shelf. They are multiple item packets or special textbooks. Also publishers now tend to carry several versions of the same textbook causing further confusion. Textbooks can be purchased on the internet for sure, but getting the right version for an Auburn class is tricky. We have a full-time experienced staff that purchases textbooks for a living and it is still hard.
