Cant I get a less-lethal form of self-defense, like a taser?
Yes, you can. A taser is an effective way to stop a single attacker. If youre faced with more than one attacker however, a taser will not protect you. Even if you stop one attacker, the other(s) will pick up where the first left off. Criminals are like the predators of the animal kingdom. They prey on those of us who appear to be weak, and some prefer to travel in packs. If you stop one, being immediately able to stop the next is something that a taser just cant provide.
